Meet Nick:

Nicholas Danger is a graphic designer, illustrator, self-published author, and muralist based in San Diego, California. Known for making people laugh through his unique imagery, his work is largely based on west-coast culture and his satirical take on the misguided notion of paradise. His relaxed, so-cal art style began when called to design decks for his retail position at his college skate shop, and has since transformed into a distinct, humorous flair. Brought to life through murals, stickers and pins alike, his signature style leaves everyone it touches with a heightened sense of nostalgia - whether it come from a quick glimpse off the interstate or a closer look at your new favorite sticker.

Constantly embarking on new projects showcased in a variety of areas, Nick attributes much of his success to building relationships within the community and beyond. Starting within the San Diego community, he has been featured in over 200 art shows in the last decade, one of which landed him a spot as a featured artist at San Diego’s own KAABOO music festival. Locally, his work can now be spotted anywhere from Barrio Logan to La Jolla, from large private business murals to beautified neighborhood power boxes. Internationally, he has traveled alongside his work all the way to Nagoya, Japan - following a work which blossomed from a project for a close friend.

Nick’s humorous, recognizable style seen throughout San Diego serves as a reminder that the community has supported his art in the same way he has supported them right back. He believes building creative and community relationships is just as valuable - if not more valuable - than formal art school itself. Through his work, he hopes to continually inspire young artists to begin working with those close to home, or to take a chance on a friend's small business endeavor. Serving the community’s best interest is where he found his groove, and where he believes you’re really able to leave your mark - or even doodle.
